Tax Preparation for Orlando's Rideshare, Delivery, and Gig Drivers
You are self-employed, so nobody withholds your taxes. We track your miles and tolls, match your income to your forms, and plan your quarterly payments so April is not a surprise.
What Makes Driver Taxes Different
No Withholding
Platforms pay you the gross amount. You owe income tax and self-employment tax on your profit, and you may need to pay during the year.
Your Forms May Not Match Your Income
You may get a 1099-K, a 1099-NEC, both, or none. Reporting thresholds have changed, but all income is taxable even without a form.
Records Decide Your Deductions
Miles, tolls, and other costs only count if you can show them. A log kept at the time is the best evidence.
What We Do
Documented preparation for drivers, from reconciliation to filing.
1099 Reconciliation
We match your platform forms and payout reports to your own records, so your income is reported once and correctly.
Mileage Review
We review your miles and help you choose between the standard mileage rate and actual vehicle costs. The choice in your first year can affect later years.
Tolls and Parking
We review toll and parking records, including Central Florida toll roads. Reimbursed tolls count as income, so we keep them from being double counted.
Other Business Costs
Phone, supplies, car wash, dash camera, passenger items, and similar costs, by business-use share.
Tips
We record your tips correctly and check whether the new qualified-tips deduction may apply to you.
Schedule C Return
We prepare your self-employment return, including self-employment tax and the qualified business income deduction if you qualify.
Quarterly Estimates
We calculate what to pay and when, so you avoid a large bill and underpayment penalties.
Costs That May Be Deductible (With Records)
- Business miles (using a log kept at the time) or actual vehicle costs, not both for the same vehicle and year
- Tolls and parking paid for business
- Platform and service fees
- Phone and data plan (business-use share)
- Phone mounts, dash cameras, chargers, and cleaning supplies
- Bags and gear for delivery
- Fees and supplies for passengers, if you provide them as part of the service
- Tax preparation fees for your business return
Your commute from home to your first stop is generally not deductible, and personal use of your vehicle is not deductible. We review your situation with you.
The Driver Plan

How It Works
Start secure intake and upload your payout reports, 1099s, mileage log, and expense records.
We reconcile your income, review your miles and costs, and prepare your return.
You review and sign, and we e-file. Driver Plan clients also get quarterly estimates during the year.
Frequently Asked Questions
I did not get a 1099. Do I still report my income?
Yes. All income is taxable, with or without a form. We help you reconstruct it from your payout reports.
I drive part time. Does this apply to me?
Yes. If you earn money driving, it is self-employment income, even if you also have a W-2 job.
Should I use the standard mileage rate or actual costs?
It depends on your vehicle, how much you drive, and what you can document. The first-year choice can limit your options later, so we help you decide. Mileage rates change every year.
Are my tips deductible now?
New federal rules may allow a deduction for certain tip income for some workers, with limits and eligibility rules. We check whether you may qualify.
Do I need to pay taxes during the year?
Often yes. If you expect to owe $1,000 or more after withholding, quarterly estimated payments are generally required. The Driver Plan includes the calculations.
Do you charge a percentage of my refund?
Never.
